Tutorial: Deploying Your First Application
This tutorial will guide you through the process of deploying your first application using the ButtrBase Launcher Service.
1. Start a New Deployment
To start a new deployment, make a POST request to the /deploys endpoint.
Input: ~~~json { "org_uuid": "ORG_UUID", "image": "your-docker-image:latest", "name": "my-app" } ~~~
~~~bash curl -X POST https://launcher.buttrbase.com/v1/deploys -H 'Authorization: Bearer YOUR_JWT' -H 'Content-Type: application/json' -d '{ "org_uuid": "ORG_UUID", "image": "your-docker-image:latest", "name": "my-app" }' ~~~
Output: ~~~json { "id": "deploy-123", "ingress_ip": "192.0.2.1" } ~~~
2. Configure DNS
The ingress_ip returned is the IP address of the load balancer. Create a DNS A record pointing to this IP.
3. List Active Deployments
~~~bash curl -X GET https://launcher.buttrbase.com/v1/deploys -H 'Authorization: Bearer YOUR_JWT' ~~~
Output: ~~~json [ { "id": "deploy-123", "name": "my-app", "status": "running" } ] ~~~
