Staging Smoke Tests & Verification

To ensure the integrity of the platform across migrations, we maintain a robust Staging Smoke Test suite that runs automatically after every deployment to the staging environment.

Running Tests Locally

You can run the smoke tests against the staging environment from your local machine:

Automated CI Pipeline

The tests are triggered via GitHub Actions:

  • Workflow: .github/workflows/staging-smoke.yml
  • Triggers: Completion of the "Deploy to Staging" workflow.
  • Scope: Verifies Auth options, security settings, session inventory, service identities, and billing history.

Parity Enforcement

We also run a strict Rust-to-Node Parity Check (scripts/parity/check-rust-node-parity.mjs) to ensure that the Rust backend's API surface exactly matches or safely extends the expected contract defined in docs/parity/rust-node-contract-checks.json.
